Gently comes November

Today is mild. There are still trees fully leaved, orange and brown. I'm in a coffee shop doing (somewhat delayed) grading, while an early song from Bob Marley plays in the background. I am thankful for all the pieces of my life. The challenge is -- to bring them into better balance.

May your November be mild and balanced - not too bleak, not too cold.

All things in balance is a good life philosophy.

Balance is good, but sometimes tipping a little to one side or the other can be immensely gratifying.

I've taken my first big step toward "moving on" just about 4 months after Mom's death. I have a "Princess" living with me now - her picture's in my current post, and I giggle every time I think about it!

Grading with Bob Marley, now that sounds like a pretty good balance. We are still having a warm November here in Michigan, but we anticipate an extra harsh winter. I love winter, so bring it on! I'll balance it with a warm fire and good reading.
